30 Million Things You Didn't Know About Money - Just Kidding, It's Really Only 30 Things

Do you think you know a lot about money? Maybe you do. Maybe you don’t. But let’s see if any of the following facts are in any way surprising to you:

1. More of our fantasies are about money… than sex.

2. If we could have any luxury in the world (and money didn’t matter) more of us would choose to spend money on a butler and a maid than anything else. I would buy Mr. Belvedere and Alice from The Brady Bunch.

3. 90% of Americans who own pets buy them Christmas gifts. Also, 90% of Americans are retards.

4. Money is the leading cause of disagreements in marriages. A close second is who controls the money.

5. 65% of Americans would live on a deserted island all by themselves for an entire year for $1,000,000. Only 50% would go on Survivor.

6. For $10,000,000 most of us would do almost ANYTHING! Including abandoning our family and friends and our church. A very high percentage of us would, for that same amount of money, change our race or sex. And, 1 in every 14, would even murder someone for ten million bucks. What’s really strange about this is, the statistics remain the same whether it’s ten million dollars all the way down to three million. For three million bucks, most of us would do the same horrible things we would do for ten million. But, guess what? Few of us would do these things for a “measly” two million.

7. 92% of us would rather be rich than find the love of our lives. 100% of us would rather do both.

8. Here’s a weighty one: Money (or the lack thereof) is the biggest stress inducer in the lives of Americans. We worry more about money than our marriages, our health, or even who’s going to win the Superbowl Game - unless we have all of our money riding on the game.

9. If you get your money out of a Hitachi ATM machine in Japan, it will be laundered. The way they do it is, they briefly press the bills between rollers at high enough temperatures to kill most bacteria.

10. Nearly half of the people who sell their houses with furniture included will take all the light bulbs out of all the lamps when they vacate the premises. It's a great gag, the new owners just walk around bumping into the furniture.

11. Most people won’t bend over to pick up money lying on the sidewalk unless it’s at least a dollar. This is how Warren Buffet made his first million - by picking up all the change that everyone else walked by.

12. Most Americans think pennies are a pain in the ass and the U.S. Mint should stop making them. Great idea!

13. There is about 405 billion dollars in circulation. Only 32 million of that amount is counterfeit. That means, the percentage of counterfeit money in America is .0079%. And, $20 bills are more often counterfeited than $100 bills. And yet, the damn cashiers at the store always have to check the bills with that damn marker thing.

14. Do people care if their bills are crisp? Indeed, they do. Fresh, crisp, clean bills are considered much more valuable than those which are old, wrinkled and dirty. My Father-in-Law actually irons his money! Can you believe that?

15. Let’s flip a coin and try to guess whether it will come up heads or tails. Three times as many people guess ‘heads’ than ‘tails’.

16. Here’s one I personally think really sucks: One out of every four Americans believe their best chance of getting rich is by playing the lottery. One out of ever four Americans are also lazy ass idiots.

17. How about this one for a shocking fact: 5% of lottery ticket buyers buy 51% of all tickets sold. Trust me, none of these people belong to the “Einsteins of America Society”.

18. A staggering 74% of us are influenced by how much we can win in a lottery as opposed to the odds of us winning. Duh!

19. That’s a good thing for the Government because the odds of winning a lottery jackpot are about 10 million to 1.

20. A person who drives 10 miles to buy a lottery ticket is 3 times more likely to be killed in a car accident while driving to buy the ticket than he is to win the jackpot.

21. Few people know it but, you can buy single-disease insurance. Can you get it for Moronitis? Then all those lottery ticket buyers could get their ticket expenses reimbursed.

22. Here’s one that’s really important: 63% of us decide NOT to buy a product advertised on the Internet… because… we think the shipping and handling charges add too much to the order.

23. Eight times as many Americans would rather use an ATM than deal with a real live teller. I would rather do anything in a way that doesn't have to deal with another human being - they always screw things up!

24. This one’s going to blow your mind: 83% of Americans still pay with checks instead of credit cards! And 100% of these people get in front of me at the grocery store.

25. Almost 30% of us say we would need 3 million smackaroos to feel rich. This ties in with the fact most of us would do anything for as little as $3 million… but… not nearly as many of us would do those identical things for a measly $2 million. (Hey, here’s your chance to take advantage of that situation. If you only want to pay $2 million to have something done, ask me if I’ll do it. The chances are, believe it or not, I WILL DO IT.)

26. Two-thirds of Americans say they wouldn’t let their spouse spend the night and have sex with another person for a million dollars. Many of these people are liars. There’s a big difference being asked if they would do it for a million dollars… as opposed to… handing them a paper sack containing the million fungolas and simply saying, “Here, you can have this if you’ll let me sleep with your sweetie tonight.”

27. More than one-third of American women consider money more important than good sex to the success of a marriage. Maybe I should wear underwear made out of money.

28. According to Employee Benefits Research Institute 96% of all people who have jobs right now won’t be eligible for their full Social Security benefits when they reach age 65.

29. One of the best ways to raise money for a charity is to have a free dinner for a lot of people and have an empty envelope tucked under their plate… for the express purpose… of making whatever size donation they want.

30. People tip more on sunny days than they do on dreary days.

Lot's of interesting insight into the money situation here. I hope we have all learned a valuable lesson. What that lesson is, I have no idea!

Michael Jackson Memorial Recovery Fund - Donate Here

For those of you that live in remote jungle villages, have just arrived from another planet, were recently discovered frozen in the Arctic, or have just woken up from a coma,  I hate to be the one to break it to you, but the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, has tragically passed away at the age of 50.

If you have been among the living, civilized world for the past three weeks, then there is no way in hell you aren't aware of this.  It has been the only thing on television for the entirety of the past three weeks.  And when I say the only thing, I mean the only thing.  Even if the guide says something else is on, when you turn it to that channel you get Michael Jackson.

Now granted, when the death first happened, I was riveted.  Everyone I knew was riveted.  My brother-in-law even admitted to getting out of bed at 1AM while his wife was sleeping, and dancing along with the Jackson videos they were playing.  I would never admit do that!

However, as time goes on, I am not sure how much more of my life I can dedicate to the gloved one's death.  There are only so many times that I can stand seeing Miko Brando on the Larry King Live show.  And I have definitely reached my limit on the number of times I can see Debbie Rowe's ugly face.

So I say "no more" to watching Michael Jackson news.  I feel like my life is going up in smoke like a wad of Michael Jackson's hair in a 1984 Pepsi commercial shoot.

I figure I've wasted at least 2 weeks of my life watching this crap.  What is two weeks of my life worth?  I figure it at about $1.4 million dollars, plus $150 for my cable bill, and $15 for a CD.

With this in mind, I will be setting up a website in order to take donations to recoup the cost of my memorializing Michael Jackson.  I know you may think the Jackson family should pay for this directly, since they are the ones that introduced Michael to the world in the first place, but I'm not sure it is their responsibility.  So, if you would like to donate to my fund, please post a comment, and I will give you directions.

Thank you for your support.  Stickman out!

Dumbass of the Day Goes To...

There are dumbasses galore in this country.  I pride myself on being able to spot them.  Perhaps it is my far superior intelligence that makes them more obvious to me.  However, I think all will agree that this guy takes the cake.

U.S. Army Maj. Stefan Frederick Cook wins the dumbass of the day award for his asinine performance in his attempt to get out of being deployed to Afghanistan.   His reasoning for asking the court to halt his deployment, you ask?  Barack Obama is not a U.S. citizen and therefore can't be president, and therefore has no legal authority to order Cook to go to Afghanistan.  That's right....dumbass!

When are people going to give up on this "not a citizen" thing?  I thought it was over, but apparently not.  Cook's lawsuit is going to start a whole string of lawsuits now...I just know it.
The I-don't-have-to-pay-my-income-taxes-because-Obama's-not-a-citizen lawsuit.

The I-can-drink-and-drive-if-I-want-because-the-laws-don't-matter-because-Obama's-not-a-citizen lawsuit.

The I'm-gonna-marry-5-women-that-may-or-may-not-be-related-to-me-and-own-myself-a-bunch-of-slaves-since-the-constitution-is-void-because-Obama's-not-a-citizen lawsuit.

The Let's-demand-that-John-McCain-be-awarded-the-Presidency-and-then-we'll-kill-him-so-Sarah-Palin-can-be-President-and-then-quit-when-things-don't-go-her-way-because-Obama's-not-a-citizen lawsuit.
These are just a few of the many possibilities of lawsuits that we are going to see ride the coat strings of this dumbass soldier.  If the dumbass didn't want to be deployed, then the dumbass shouldn't be in the reserves.  We have been at war for what, 8 years now?  I'm sure he didn't sign on to the reserves for more than 8 years, right?  So he either a) renewed his contract, or b) signed on after the war was going on in the first place.  WHAT DID HE EXPECT?

And does he really think his little lawsuit is going to work?  That everyone else in the country is a dumbass, and he is the only genius to figure this out?  I mean, really?!?  Give me a break.

This is just my humble opinion.  Stickman out!

The Terrible Tuesdays

Here are some things that I think are terrible today:
Fan Vandalism.  I will never understand why when some city's team wins a championship, the people of that city celebrate by destroying said city.  WTF?  If you are so proud of your city and it's team, why would you destroy it?  Shouldn't it be the losing team's city that gets destroyed.  Get with the program Los Angeles rioters!

Michelle Obama Worship.  She's the first lady, and that's a big deal.  I give you that.  She's very smart, and she performs her duties wonderfully.  But why is the media trying so hard to turn her into the next Jackie O.  Is Michelle Obama's fashion really that spectacular?  I don't see it.  She's kinda oversized in an Amazon sort of way.  And shut up about the arms already, OK people?

Sensitive Public Figures.  Someone please explain to me why David Letterman had to apologize to Sarah Palin.  I mean - really?!?  The guy is a late night comedian.  He tells jokes.  And damn funny jokes if you ask me.  The bit about A-Rod and Palin's daughter was hilarious.  And everyone knows he didn't mean the 14 year old one, but the one that goes around getting knocked up.  If he has to apologize to Palin, shouldn't he also have to apologize to A-Rod.  I mean he's the one that committed rape in the joke.  He's the one that should be mad.  And yet, apparently he has a sense of humor - or at least better things to do with his life that make a spectacle of his anger.  Get over yourself already, Sarah.  We have.

Loss of Anonymity.  I enjoy my anonymity here on Stickman Musings.  Yet, it appears that if challenged in a court of law my blogger anonymity would be lost.  That's not cool.  I'm going to have to take back all the mean things I say about people.  I don't want to get sued for libel.  Or plagiarism.  Or lack of funny.  I'm outraged!
The day isn't completely terrible though.  Part of it is terrific!  I have been awarded this Tuesday's Terrific T-shirt by Mom over at Life...Exagerated.  Each week she finds a blog headline that would make a great T-shirt.  My post with the headline of P.S. I Love You, Jackass was awarded this week's shirt.  Thanks, Mom!

My TV Don't Work - Why Didn't Someone Tell Me There Was A Change Coming!

According to surveys, there are over 2 million people that are not ready for the switch to digital television today.  Since these people have a TV, and obviously a telephone to answer a survey call, I am guessing they do not live in a cave, or in the deep woods, or in some other sort of a social bubble.

If this is the case, then they must have heard about this switch, right?  They had to have seen one of the millions of commercials that have been airing for the past year.  They must have at some point been annoyed by the crawls and messages taking up the lower third of their screen as they watched TV in the past 6 months.

In February - when the switch was originally supposed to happen - there were about 4 million morons that hadn't figured it out yet.  So the brilliant government says, "let's push it back 4 months and give everyone more time since we only announced this 10 years ago - it was a bit of short notice."  And there wasn't a sane person in the country that didn't know we would get to this day and still have millions not ready.

This evening, in trailer parks and retirement communities all around the country, people will be adding rolls and rolls of aluminum foil to their rabbit ears, unable to figure out why all they are able to watch is static.  Men will kick the TV, throw the remote, and cry out to God, "why has thou forsaken me!"

With over 2 million less people watching TV, and thus not seeing commercials, and immediately going out to buy the products advertised, the economy is going to crash.  I know, you're thinking that people just fast forward through commercials now anyway, right?  But think about it - these people can't even get a digital converter box after all this time, you really think they are tech savvy enough for Tivo?  On the other hand, they obviously didn't see all the commercials about the digital switch, so they probably aren't really paying attention to the other commercials either.

We live in a world of morons!  Stickman out!

Jeans Lead To Sexual Harrassment

Colleges in India have begun to ban female students from wearing jeans.  Apparently those Indian guys go nuts over denim and just can't keep themselves from raping girls that wear jeans.  What's a slumdog to do?

An article about the Indian college ban on jeans for females says the schools will expel girls that wear jeans or other western clothes.  It continues to say that it is the only way to stop crime against women.  REALLY?!?!  The only way?  I believe that Mrs. Stickman would say that it IS a crime against women to not let them wear jeans!

The funniest thing about the article is the fact that in India they call sexual harassment "Eve-teasing."  That doesn't sound nearly as bad does it.  "I know I made an inappropriate sexual comment, but I was just Eve-teasing, it's not like I was harassing or anything."

I wonder if they also have Adam-teasing?  It would seem only fair.  And what do they call it if it is gay harassing?  Serpant-teasing?  More like Trouser Snake-teasing!  (Not that there's anything wrong with that!)

Maybe they could just make them wear mom jeans?  Or have them all gain 100 pounds and wear low-rise jeans so that the fat rolls over the top of them?  Now those would most definitely put an end to sexual harassment!  Cause, gross!

American Idol's Shocking Confession

In a shocking statement reverberating the world over, American Idol contestant Adam Lambert has publicly stepped out of the closet.  And now it is an easy guess as to what he was doing in the closet in the first place.  Perhaps he and Gay Gaiken were exchanging Idol makeup tips?

"I don't think it should be a surprise for anyone to hear that I'm gay," Lambert said.  How's that for the understatement of the century.  I'd love to meat the person who heard it and thought, "Really?!?  I didn't see that one coming at all."

A while back I wrote about the gayest Spiderman ever that involved Adam Lambert.  He didn't fool me with his feigned heterosexuality!  My gadar was beeping at full strength.  I was on to his ways.

So Adam Lambert is gay.  What's next?  Someone's going to tell me that Barack Obama is black?  Or that the pope is Catholic?

As always, I follow this whole post up with - Not that there's anything wrong with that!

Garage Sales Are Retarded

What is it with people that are obsessed with garage sales?  I don't even want my own junk, so why would I want someone else's?  And yet, there are these people - of which I have family members - that are just way into going and rummaging through people's crap.

I can't handle it myself.  I don't do well in rummage stores, second hand stores, antique stores, vintage clothing stores, used book stores, or anything like that.  The smell in those places just makes my stomach turn.  I don't know what it is about it, maybe I just picture dead people touching all of it.  Yuck!

I'm on this garage sale hatred kick because this weekend Mrs. Stickman decided that we would go to my in-law's neighborhood sale day and help out.  Also, we contributed about a gazillion dollars worth of kids clothes that have been slowly taking over the storage area in our basement, since we have been putting off giving them to charity.  Of course, we sold this gazillion dollars worth of clothes for approximately $43.  Not quite a good deal for us.

I will say that a garage sale offers lots of opportunity to see some pretty freaky people.  So that is always good.  About as fun as a trip to Walmart in the freak department.  So there was that to offer entertainment and enjoyment for all.

As the saying goes... one man's junk is another man's treasure.  Also, one man's pain is another man's pleasure.  It's different strokes for different folks.  At least that's the way I've been told it goes.  I think I just wrote a country song!

Wipeout! If You Aren't Watching It Yet - Start Now!

I often talk on this blog about schadenfreude since it is the word that best describes my life.  There is nothing better than laughing at people as misfortune besets them.  Mrs. Stickan and I are always looking for people to laugh at, and let me tell you we never have to look very hard.

Last year, we discovered a little summer show on ABC called Wipeout.  If you haven't seen this show yet, I must insist that you watch it as soon as humanly possible.  The basic idea of the show is that the get people, mostly odd people, to run these obstacle courses with funny obstacles.

There is nothing funnier on television.  From about 30 minutes before the show starts, until it is over, Mrs. Stickman is just giddy.  She claps.  She laughs.  She cries.  It's better that Cats.

Here is a clip from this season of Wipeout.  This shows an obstacle called the HURTles.

If you enjoy mocking others, having a good laugh, and a fun time for the whole family, then Wipeout is for you.  We Tivo and watch it 3 or 4 times a week.  It just never gets old.

The commentators make it that much better.  They are quite snide, sarcastic, and hilarious.  It's just all around quality television.  Watch it!

Reason #1,432,394 That I Refuse To Shop At Walmart

Of all the stores in the world, none has become more associated with Redneck and/or WT (white trash) people than "The Walmart" has.  Sometimes, after you haven't been in one of their stores for a decade or so, you begin to think that this is just some kind of stereotype, and Walmart is actually filled with thousands of perfectly normal people.

Then, something like this story comes along, and instantly reminds you that it's not just a stereotype, and you should never cross the threshold of those automatic doors and be greeted by an old person in a blue vest again.

Memphis police are searching for a shoplifting suspect who used a tiny baby as a weapon against a security guard during an escape attempt Wednesday.

The incident happened early Wednesday afternoon at Wal-Mart on Austin Peay in Raleigh, where police say a woman was caught shoplifting. While attempting to escape, the woman hurled her two-month old nephew at a security guard. The infant, seated in a carrier, fell onto the concrete floor.

The suspect then threw the baby at a good samaritan who tried to tend to the infant.

The suspect ran from the store and escaped in a blue Ford Escort, abandoning the baby and his mother, who was in the women's restroom during the incident.

The child's mother tended to him as the infant was treated in the back of an ambulance.

Child abuse investigators are working with the infant's family to locate the suspect.

Officials said the baby will be okay. Neither the loss prevention officer nor the good samaritan were seriously injured.

All requests for comment from Wal-Mart management were referred to the retailer's corporate office.

Really?  Who are these people?  I mean, really?!?!  Who throws a baby?  And who uses a baby as a weapon?  That is quite possibly the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.

I'm don't want to be one to stereotype, or cast judgement.... hell, who am I kidding, that is exactly what I want to do!  Seriously though, here are some facts that my investigation uncovered.
  • The baby's mother was in the bathroom because she was putting on layers of stolen clothes under her own clothes.
  • The carrier the infant was seated in still had a price tag on it.
  • The blue Ford Escort belonged to the old lady greeter.
  • Loads of drugs were later found missing from the ambulance.
I ask it again - who are these people?  Find the answer at a Walmart near you!

Some Days I Hate My Job

Everyone hates their job sometimes.  Hell, some people hate their jobs ALL the time.  Most days, I am alright with my job, and some days I even find it very rewarding and enjoyable.  But then, there are those days - like today - when I just want to stand up, put both of my middle fingers at full mast, and walk out the door to never look back.

I work in advertising and marketing, for those of you that don't know.  This is great, except for the fact that everybody thinks they are a master at advertising and marketing.  And there are some things that I do that every department in the company (practically) has to have a say in.  And sometimes, none of these people can agree on anything.

This "design by consensus" theory does not work.  And yet, no one wants to give up their control.  I don't know why they can't all just believe that I know what is best.  It seems so obvious to me.  Why did I design this page this way, you ask?  Because it is the best way to do it!!  Couldn't we change this to {insert retarded suggestion here}, you ask?  Sure, we could, if you want this piece to SUCK!

The worst part is how everyone feels they need to come to me to tell me how bad all the other people's ideas suck, and then , of course, drop in that theirs are great ideas.  So instead of spending my time completely redoing me design until it doesn't even resemble the original, I have to spend my whole day listening to people bitch.  That ranks on my fun scale about as high as putting my wiener in a meat grinder.

And then, to top it all off.  Certain people, like the CEO, decide to wait until I am uploading the files to the printers - 2 hours after the deadline - to decide that they also better have a look and make sure everything is kosher.  And then, these ego-inflated individuals determine that there is not nearly enough in the piece to support their ego, and, therefore, we must ad quotes in which they can pontificate on their awesomeness.  Because that is really going to help sales.

So, in summary:  People are stupid.  I'm a genius.  Just go with it.

Leprechaun's For (Or Against) Obama!

I am so over hearing about President Barack Obama speaking (or not speaking) at the Notre Dame commencement ceremony.  Is this really a controversy that needs to keep going on and on?  I think not.  Yet, there are some really angry leptrechauns!

I have co-workers that are all aghast about it.  "How dare Obama accept the invitation?  He's so arrogant."  "What is he thinking going to a Catholic school when he is for abortion?"  Blah blah blah! I see their lips moving, but all I hear is "I'm a pigheaded moron, I'm a pigheaded moron..."

I'm pretty sure that he didn't call up Notre Dame and ASK if he could come do the commencement speech.  He was INVITED.  Notre Dame is a good school, and why wouldn't he accept their invitation?

One person here said in the same breath, "How could he think Catholics would want him there?  He carried the Catholic vote in the election."  It seems to me that would mean the Catholics like him then, so it makes sense that he would accept their invitation.  It appears that morons can't even agree with themselves.

Now, apparently, there are going to be "peaceful protests" on the day of the speech.  I don't know how long they can stay peaceful, what - with all of Obama's lucky charm.  Those leprechaun's will all be after him!  I know they're always after my lucky charms.  They should watch themselves though, or he may turn into "The Rock Obama!"

I just don't see what the big deal is.  I'm guessing the folks at Notre Dame that invited him didn't see what the big deal would be either.  Those poor bastards.  Bet they're wishing they would have never extended the invitation.  You can't really take back an invite to the President now can you?

I can't wait until about two weeks after it's done, and then maybe the pundits from both sides will be done going on and on about it.  It never ceases to amaze me how one thing can happen and two sides can get such a completely different opinion of what happened.  Some things will never change.

Slap The Wife For Spending Too Much Money

A Saudi judge recently told a conference on domestic violence that a man has the right to slap a wife who spends money wastefully.  He also added that women were as much to blame as men for increased spousal abuse.

That will teach those Saudi women to go buying all those fancy designer burkas.  Or frivolously spending the family's hard earned money on rice.  Apparently some Saudi women were upset about these remarks, but then the judge slapped those bitches down.  Took care of that problem.  Besides, they asked for it, so it's really their fault that they got slapped.

Perhaps, if we had some kind of system like that in place in the United States, then we wouldn't be in this economic downturn.  Just think if someone would have been there to slap every person that got a subprime mortgage.

A ballooning ARM mortgage?  SLAAAAAAAP!!  What's that, you are running up your credit card debt?  SLAAAAAAP!!!  You're cashing in your 401K to go on vacation.  SLAAAAAAAP!!!

We would have never gotten in to this credit crunch.  We'd be in a completely different situation.

Don't worry about these Saudi women, though.  Apparently it is forbidden in Islam to beat a women on her face, no matter what she does.  It doesn't say anything about kicking the shit out of  any other part of their body though.  So, maybe they aren't too safe.

I can only imagine if I said something like that to Mrs. Stickman.  She'd show me what a good slap is!  Oh crap.  I just realized she is going to read all of this.  I was just kidding, baby!  Ha ha!  Good one, me!

God Just Called - He Said You're a Bunch of Douchebags

Super-Christians strike again. In the name of the Lord they are willing to prevent a high school senior from graduating because he is considering the ultimate sin, the unpardonable offense, the epitome of blasphemy - going to the prom with his girlfriend! Scandalous!

Apparently, this ridiculous, uber-Christian school in Ohio is threatening to suspend a senior if he goes with his girlfriend to here public school's prom. It appears that he can't go to the prom because, according to the school handbook, rock music "is part of the counterculture which seeks to implant seeds of rebellion in young people's hearts and minds."

I would assume then that the same rule would prevent him from eating at his local TGI Friday's, or any other chain restaurant. Also, he would not be able to walk through nearly any store in existence. And he surely would not be able to ever watch TV or see a movie.

The pompous principal had his to say, "In life, we constantly make decisions whether we are going to please self or please God. (The student) chose one path, and the school committee chose the other." Please God? As in - please God strike this asswipe dead right now - maybe.

I born and raised in a pastor's house. And there were certain things I couldn't do growing up, like go to movies (we were told that they only make the G movies as a trick to raise money to make the bad movies - I assumed porn). And that sucked. But still, I didn't have it as bad as these poor kids. We were pretty free to do what we wanted.

The whole thing boils down to this... What is the chick from the public school doing dating a dork from the uptight Christian school? What kind of loser is this girl?

Does Keifer Sutherland Think He Really Is Jack Bauer?

I think the fine line between fiction and reality is starting to have an effect on Keifer Sutherland.  It appears that he may actually be starting to believe that he really is Jack Bauer.  Which, in reality, means that he is starting to believe that he is really ME, since Jack Bauer is based on me.

It appears from this article that Keifer/Jack was at the afterparty of some other party, and went all Bauer on some guy that interrupted him when he was talking to Brook Shields.  Now, I understand that it is rude to interrupt someone, but is a head-butt really necessary?  Really?!? By the way, does anyone else think the word head-butt is as funny as I do?

I told you to NEVER interrupt me when I'm hobnobbing.

Apparently when the guy interrupted his conversation, Keifer/Jack performed some kind of "high school wrestling move" - which he probably learned on the set of 24 - and then followed that with the head-butt.  This sounds really tough and badass, right?

Not after you find out that the guy he did it to is a fashion designer.  Anyone could have done this to a fashion designer.  Those guys are all so gay!  Trust me... I watch Project Runway with Mrs. Stickman, and I have never seen a straight guy on there.

I'm thinking that maybe this has something to do with Jack's exposure to the biological weapon on this seasons of 24.  It might be messing with his brain or something.  Amping up his aggression.  Or maybe he is just retarded.

All I know is that I am not very happy that the guy they have playing me on TV is out there doing stuff like this.  It might reflect badly on me!

Undisclosed Names On Britain "Banned List" Revealed

Britain's Home Secretary (very much like our Secretary of State, but much more down to earth sounding don't you think?) has recently released a list of people that they have decided not to let into their country.  A sort of "least wanted" list if you will.

It seems that all you have to do to make the list is be extreme about something - or hate someone, or some group of people.  The banned people include jew haters, black haters, gay haters, and apparently Democrat haters - conservative radio host Michael Savage made the list.

However, there were six people that made the list that were excluded from public naming because it would not be "in the public interest" according to British officials.  But, you, as a reader of Stickman Musings will be the first to hear who these six people are, and the reason for their ban, thanks to the amazing investigative reportings of the Stickman (really just by my CIA connections).  Here they are:

Barack Obama.  First a cheap DVD set for the Prime Minister, and then an iPod for the Queen.  You and your cheap-ass, tacky gifts can stay the hell out of our country.

Michelle Obama.  You touched the Queen for crying out loud!  That's just not cricket!

Matt Damon.  Jason Bourne is just far too much of a threat to James Bond.  And we're close to banning Jack Bauer, too!

Shuan White.  We don't like extremists of any type, and you are the poster child for extreme sports.  Plus you always beat us in the Olympics.

Susan Boyle.  If we can get her to leave, we are not letting her back in.  We're as sick of her as the rest of the world.

Michael Jackson.  Uhmm...about all those concerts that you have planned here to try to get yourself out of debt - yeah, that's not going to happen.  We just don't want to - pardon the pun - expose our young boys to you.  Not gonna happen.

So there you have it - the complete list.  Please don't tell anyone where you saw it - then I'd have to kill you.

That's A Great Story, But I Can Do You One Better

If there is one thing that I can not stand in this world, it is people that feel the need to always tell a story better than the last one told.  What kind of extreme inferiority complex do these people suffer from that they can't under any circumstances live in a world where someone else has experienced, seen, ate, attended or done anything that may be cooler than something in their life.

I have a standing rule that when I discover a person like this, I just quit telling stories around them.  I hate pissing matches.  I hate the "one-up" mentality.  And I hate insecure people that always have to try to prove they are better than you.

There is one guy at my work that is just the worst at this.  Here's a hypothetical scenario:

A-Hole:  Hey, Stickman.  What did you do this weekend?

Me:  Well, the President flew in and picked me up on Air Force One, and we flew to Scotland to play golf with Tiger Woods on the first golf course ever created.

A-Hole:  That's nice.  One time I went with all 4 of the living Presidents on the space shuttle Endeavor and we spent a whole week playing golf on the moon.

Me:  Wow.  You really are a lot cooler than me.  I wish I was you.

There is just no way to top a guy that will make up anything to sound cool.  No matter what your story is, there is some strain of fiction out there that can top it.

And then there is that really special strain of narcissist that will realize when he is beat, so instead of creating an obviously ridiculous story, they decide that the will just make it sound like your story wasn't really that great - and they would never be caught dead doing what you did.

The same guy at my office often does this, too.  Here is a scenario:

A-Hole:  Hey, Stickman.  What did you do this weekend?

Me:  Well, the President flew in and picked me up on Air Force One, and we flew to Scotland to play golf with Tiger Woods at the Turnberry Golf Club, the most famous course in the country that invented golf.

A-Hole:  That seems like a big waste of taxpayer money to fly that plane just for that.  That's worse than the photo op thing in  New York.

Me:  Well, I had a good time.  And it's a sweet plane.

A-Hole:  I don't see how you could have had fun with that President.  He's ruining our country, the commie bastard.

Me:  The President is the President.  If you agree with his politics or not, it's still an honor.

A-Hole: But it's so cold in Scotland this time of year.  And the courses are too hilly.  I much rather prefer playing at the local redneck golf course.  It so much more relaxed.  I hate uppity courses.  Of course I've played at Pebble Beach and all of them because I had to, but I like the small local courses better.

Me:  Yeah you are probably right.  But no matter what course, or what plane, or what President, it was still nice to play a round of golf with Tiger.

A-Hole:  Would have been better if it was Arnold Palmer.  Now that would be worth going someplace for.  Tiger is too much hype.

Me:  You're right.  It was a pretty crappy weekend over all.

People can be so annoying.  I wish I had laser eyes and I could evaporate anyone that said something I don't like at any time.  Life would be good!

If One of Those Pigs Gets Me Sick...

In an effort to stay healthy I have decided to go all Michael Jackson and wear a surgical mask, as well as one bedazzled glove for shaking hands and touching stuff (i.e. filthy bathroom doors, computers, and phones, children - no wait, that's what HE uses it for).

The last thing I want is to get sick as a pig.  Next thing you know, I will be rolling around in my own crap or being cut up for bacon.  Neither of which sounds appealing.

I'm also hoping that this mask and glove will protect me not only from the swine virus, but also from the conficker virus.  The last thing I want is some worm in me that will make me start sending junk emails to everyone I know.  Plus it just sounds gross.

I know some people who have already been infected with both of these illnesses.  I'm pretty sure that girl child is infected with that swine thing, because I saw her eating breakfast this morning and she was slopping up that cereal.  And she may have gotten it from boy child, because he always eats like a pig.

And I have co-workers that must have come down with conficker, because they are always sending me stupid forward junk mail.  Speaking of, I hate getting all the stupid forwards where if I don't send it on to 7 people then I will burn in eternal fire, or Bill Gates will murder my children, or it means I am generally just a bad person.  I think you are a bad person if you DO forward those on.  And also, if you DO send a forward, how about deleting the 6,000 email addresses of all the other people that forwarded it so I don't have to scroll down for 2 miles to find the damn email.

And that's all I have to say about that.  What a tangent.

This Blog Was Written By Professionals - Do Not Attempt This At Home

I just saw a commercial for T-Mobile, where some lady drives out into the desert and cuts down a telephone pole, and then somehow by cutting down this one pole she starts some sort of miraculous chain reaction where all of the telephone poles on the road start falling down.

First of all, this is just dumb and ridiculous in itself. However, this isn't the dumbest thing about the commercial. The dumbest thing is that it has fine print across the bottom of the screen that says "We do not encourage vandalism. Please do not attempt."

Really?!? Who are these idiots that are sitting at home and thinking, "you know what... I'm gonna go out and try that" and then sure enough, getting off of their couch, leaving the trailer, and going out and cutting down a telephone pole? Seriously. Do these people exist?

But that's not all. Once they go out and do this, and then perhaps get arrested for it. They take it one step farther and actually sue T-Mobile for giving them the idea. Sure I may be stupid, and sure I may do dumb and/or illegal things, but if it wasn't for that damn T-Mobile I would still be sitting on the couch in the trailer drinking some Shlitz's Malt Liquor and watching my family on Cops.

I swear our society is out of control. Nobody can take responsibility for their own actions anymore. There's always somebody else to blame. Therefore, we get all the fine print on ads and are told "not to attempt" anything at home.

That's my two cents for the day. Stickman out!

Freaky Friday! - Because It's Better Than Flatulence Friday

In an effort to join the blogging world's love of using alliteration with the day of the week, I have proclaimed today's musing "Freaky Friday!"  Not only is it the second F word (OK...third) that I came up with (one wasn't appropriate, the other was just gross), but it is also very fitting to the day.

First, it is freakishly warm out.  Second, I am indeed a freak.  Third, a Freaky Friday type movie is opening up in theaters around the nation today.  All of us tweens are very excited about it because it stars High School Musical alum Zac Efron.  {pause for little girls to scream}  For more about my excitement, refer to my Embarrassing Kids post.

OK.  I know that all three of those reasons are completely lame.  So please refrain from posting hateful comments.  Because I am going to make up for it now.  Below, I present to you my Freaky Friday Freaks!

Classic Freak Show Category
A man with a leg growing out his ass.

Freaky Piercing Category
Man who will never make it past a metal detector.

Ate Too Freaking Much Category
Man who ate waaaaayy too much.

Freakiest Way To Perform A Simple Task
Woman who should never be invited for coffee.

Modern Freak Category
Man with no nose.  Or man who's had too many different noses.

I hope you aren't too freaked out.  And I hope that nobody lost their lunch.  I know these images are quite disturbing.  I feel a bit queasy as I'm typing this!

I hope everybody has a freaking awesome Friday!  Stickman out!
